Is there a place that has great meaning to you? Do you have memories of a location that you wish to preserve? One way to capture and cherish these memories is to create a topographical map of your location.
A timeless and meaningful gift for a loved one, each map made by Cascade Pacific Woodworks is a unique piece; the scale and boundaries are completely up to you. Once made, there will never be another one like it. Every map we create is delicately carved from solid hardwood. If desired, water features, like oceans, lakes, or rivers can be added. Water elements are artistically designed with multiple layers of pigmented epoxy resins.
Artistry & Precision
The texture of our maps is true to scale because our maps are carved with precision using U.S. Geological Survey data. This means that mountains, hills and valleys are prominent and actually look and feel like mountains, hills, and valleys. The map is then cased in a hardwood frame that we make by hand. Maps can be displayed horizontally on a table top, or hung vertically on a wall.
