Our process is an intentional return to the heritage of woodworking. Each workpiece is an exclusive, one-of-one composition, meticulously handcrafted with precision and intention in our Southeastern Connecticut studio. Every custom commission is designed and crafted from start to finish by our sole Master Craftsman, Tobias Olsen. This 'Single-Maker' continuity allows for a level of customization, grain-matching, joinery precision, and finish consistency that honors the raw materials, their purpose, and the space they will ultimately inhabit.
Fine Woodworking Techniques & Artisan Joinery
We select our materials with thought and purpose. Our wood goes through a meticulous process of preparation to ensure it will survive and thrive the elements of a new life. Our traditional joinery methods, including dovetails and mortise-and-tenon, ensure durability while honoring the time-tested traditions of fine woodworking. Our design and construction techniques ensure the joinery and mating of all the components seamlessly work together and perform flawlessly.
